So Melyssa Ford was in my hood today on Crenshaw Blvd. for the Lady Hennessy promotional tour. A friend of mine took this pic for me, and like many others, he said she looks even better in person and radiates intelligence. I'm a little bitter I wasn't able to meet with her, but maybe next time.

I had a tough time with whether I should crop this shot or not. I ultimately decided not to crop because it incorporates more colors (the sky) and makes the picture more interesting. What do you think? Wrong decision?

I first learned about Lakeisha Brown when she was taping a reality show called "America's Hottest Honey." A friend called me and said: "There's this girl on the show and she's really pretty." Since this particular friend doesn't say that about many models, I knew it had to be true. Regrettably, "America's Hottest Honeys" never made it onto the airwaves (instead we got E!'s "Candy Girls"). But Lakeisha is the real deal. She reminds me of an early Melyssa Ford, and interestingly they're both Scorpios. Anyway, this girl has kind of disappeared from the scene. Fortunately, SHOW magazine got her before she ducked out.

We're starting to see more top urban models take more conservative pics. Melyssa Ford has also gone in this direction, as swimsuit photos from her have become increasingly rare.
